Title: Biocatalytic Metal-Organic Frameworks for Applications in Electrochemical
Abstract: Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are a class of functional porous three-dimensional framework materials exhibiting unique chemical properties, which are constructed through the self-assembly of organic ligands and metal centres. Owing to the harmonisation of functionality and porosity, extensive research has been conducted into MOFs, including for applications in analysis and as catalysis materials. Concurrently, significant progress has also been achieved in the advancement of electrochemical sensors.
This research aims to develop a series of MOFs containing redox-active sites that can directly catalyse target analytes, allowing for their streamlined application in electrochemical sensing. These compounds represent a novel platform in the field of catalysis and electrochemical biosensing, and optimisation of materials will be performed to ensure excellent performance, amplification and selectivity.
