Title: Conceptual Molecular Design Approaches to Next Generation Electronic and Optoelectronic Devices

Abstact: Our group’s research effort is focused towards the realization of organic and organometallic molecular systems targeted for a number of applications such as light emitting devices, molecular electronics and sensors. This talk will highlight some of our ongoing efforts towards employing several rational design approaches for targeting molecular systems with suitable luminescent properties for organic light emitting diode devices. Further, investigations into the switching and conductance properties of redox-active molecular scaffolds for potential applications in molecular electronic devices will also be discussed.
